My Book Boyfriend #2 Prince Kai

This was one of those books that really surprised me and so did the hero. I wasn't really sure I would like him, but he was so easy to crush on. He wasn't an alpha hero, but he didn't let people push him around either. I think what I liked most about this character was how natural it felt for him and Cinder to fall for one another. He was sweet, funny, and in his own quirky way charming.

Stats:

Name: Prince Kaito

Nickname: Kai
My Book Boyfriend #3: Prince Kai from Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Interested in: Cinder

Occupation: once Prince of China

Personality: sweet, kind, funny, charming

“I know this is stupid, but part of me felt like if I could come see you today, if I could convince you to go with me tonight, then maybe I could still change things. It's dumb, I know. It's not like Levana cares if I, you know, might have actual feelings for someone.”

“Imagine there was a cure, but finding it would cost you everything. It would completely ruin your life. What would you do?”

This quote was one of my favorites because it shows just how much he loves his country and how much he truly trusted Cinder to be able to share that with her.

“You have no idea how to dance, do you?” Cinder fixed her gaze on him, mind still reeling. “I’m a mechanic.”

“Why? Why don't you want to go with me?"

She huffed. "It's not that I don't want to go with you, it's that I'm not going at all."

"So you do want to go with me."

Cinder locked her shoulders. "It doesn't matter. Because I can't."

"But I need you.”

“I don't want to tell you how to be a prince, but shouldn't you have some bodyguards or something?"

"Bodyguards? Who would want to harm a charming guy like me?”

  3. Kai is my son's nickname. It's how his younger brother used to mangle his name when he was 2. But it stuck.
