My Thoughts
Life couldn’t get much worse, but it might get weirder for
Eve.
In Michaelbrent’s first romance we get a troubling mystery,
strange new characters, and a sweet new romance blossoming. There is a lot
going on, but the flow of the story is nicely paced and keeps you on your toes.
Sometimes it is hard to tell friend from foe even for the reader which makes it
much easier to put yourself in Eve’s shoes.
Eve is a troubled young girl who just can’t catch a break in
life. Apart from some major issues in her life and mysterious new kids Eve is
really easy to relate to. She has the same troubles most girls her age do and
does her best to overcome them. I really liked getting to know more about her
and felt really connected to her by the end of the book.
Things start to look better for her when the hot new boy in
school becomes her boyfriend, but things aren’t always what they seem and he
may be hiding more secrets than she can handle. I loved the dynamic between
these two and getting to figure out more about him just like Eve and decide for
myself whether he was really a friend or foe.
This is an exciting new romance that Twilight fans are sure
to enjoy and will keep mystery lovers on their toes with each turn of the page!
