Synopsis:

No matter how many boys Claire kisses, she can’t seem to find a decent boyfriend. Someone who wouldn’t rather date her gorgeous best friend, Megan. Someone who won’t freak out when he learns about the tragedy her family still hasn’t recovered from. Someone whose kisses can carry her away from her backwoods town for one fleeting moment.

Until Claire meets Luke.

But Megan is falling for Luke, too, and if there’s one thing Claire knows for sure, it’s that Megan’s pretty much irresistible.

With true love and best friendship on the line, Claire suddenly has everything to lose. And what she learns—about her crush, her friends, and most of all herself—makes the choices even harder.

In her moving debut, Rachael Allen brilliantly captures the complexities of friendship, the struggles of self-discovery, and the difficulties of trying to find love in high school. Fans of Sarah Ockler, Susane Colasanti, and Stephanie Perkins will fall head over heels for this addictive, heartfelt, and often hilarious modern love story.

MY THOUGHTS

RATING: 5 Stars

I got this book from the publisher, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.

Firstly I would like to thank the author and the publisher for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this book.

Well, I totally loved this book!!!

There were so many 'wow' moments that I can't even count them. This book made me laugh, cry, envy even it made me punch my pillow in rage, I mean why do your best friend have to fall for the boy you like? It happened to me even but at least after I broke up with him, that's a relief!!! LOL!!!

I loved Claire, she is just like an average school girl with school politics, own insecurities. She tries hard to keep up with the 'plastics', you know what I mean, right? Poor girl!!! Claire had a very bad fate in case of Boyfriends and every relation ended for her at the first kiss only, well some of it wasn't even intentional but triggered by the situation.

One thing that made me punch Claire [imaginary] is her dumbness, I mean the girl whom she loved as a sister was the real boyfriend thief but all the times Claire forgave her and kept their friendship and on the other hand Megan went on shattering Claire's heart but when she needed a shoulder to cry on she came back to Claire. I didn't like her at all though she helped Claire in some pretty rough times.

This story is just not about friendship but also about family love and togetherness. The struggle that Claire's family had to undergo and the strong relation between them touched my heart. But as usual Megan's parents were dictators as it happens in case of rich people and it made the story that much more real.

I liked the plot planning very much mostly that the stories regarding the different kisses of Claire's life were intelligently placed in between the day to day story of her present life. It kept a sweet and interesting symmetry in the story.

There is suspense, drama, love, jealousy, back-stabbing, patch up and a lot more to enjoy!!! An thrilling and humorous read that will touch you heart. So go for it guys and relive your high-school days!!!

In leisure time I sit with a book or my e-reader leaving the known world behind and losing her in the new worlds which the author's create.
