Synopsis:
When Chevon takes an impulsive road trip, she doesn’t expect to stumble across her distant past. Lost in a thick, unpredictable fog, she finds the Everlasting Inn. The remote house on the cliffs is a haven, yet it evokes erotic thoughts and haunting memories. They consume her until she realizes that she’s been to this house before… in another life! When the inn’s new owner shows up, she realizes that time is repeating itself. It’s up to Trey to break the cycle for these star-crossed lovers, but he’ll have to fight to prove that their love is truly everlasting.
My Thoughts:
Like the cool mists shrouding your view of a enchanting castle this book draws you in to later reveal the magnificent storyline within.
Chevon Arlette was tired of following orders and doing the right thing. All she wanted was a small vacation where she could think and be by herself. However strange things start happening almost the minute she sets out to her destination. When she finally finds shelter she realizes fast that things are not right. Even the air affects her in an ominously erotic way. Trey had also been drawn to this place. There was a sense of familiarity about the place and to both Chevon and Trey. Neither of could even begin to guess at the secrets that it held. Now they are both caught up in a tragic legend. In order to escape tragedy Trey must remember his past in order to stop history from repeating itself.
This book is temptation incarnate. The words flow off the page in a sinfully inviting manner drawing you in like a lover’s warm embrace. The book was fast paced and got steamy pretty fast, but the character’s unusual history together makes it believable. I enjoyed Chevon’s character the most because I was able to relate to her more. A lot of people her age feel the need for independence and she was such a realistic character. This is because even as she grew more outgoing and daring she still had an innocent quality to her that didn’t just disappear overnight. A warning that this book does contains light BDSM. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good erotic/paranormal romance.
