Kiss of the Rose Princess by Aya Shouoto

Anis Yamamoto has been told that if she ever removes the rose choker given to her by her father, a terrible punishment will befall her. Unfortunately she loses that choker when a batlike being named Ninufa falls from the sky and hits her. Ninufa gives Anis given four cards representing four knights whom she can summon with a kiss. But now that she has these gorgeous men at her beck and call, what exactly is her quest?!        Photo: New Shojo Beat Manga Series Coming in October

Honey Blood by Miko Mitsuki

When a girl at Hinata Sorazono’s school is attacked by what seems to be a blood-sucking vampire, everyone is on edge and wonders who’s next. Hinata refuses to believe that vampires even exist, but then she meets her new neighbor, Junya Tokinaga, the author of an incredibly popular vampire romance novel. Dressed in a kimono with an old-world air about him, Junya has a taste of Hinata’s blood and tells her it’s sweet... Hinata can’t help but be drawn to Junya, but could it be that he’s actually a vampire—and worse yet, the culprit behind the attacks?!

Shojo Beat has just anounced the upcoming release of two new manga. One of which I have been in love with for a while and never thought it would be published in english! Barajou No Kiss or "Kiss of the Rose Princess" as it has come to be called is one of my all time favorite mangas and I am so excited to see it come out in english. One of the reasons I was surprised to see that it will be coming out in english is because it is a reverse harem and Shojo Beat rarely publishes these kinds (although I love them). Hopefully we will see more like it in the future.

Most girls are crazy about jewelry, but not Anis Yamamoto. Not since her father gave her a rose choker as a child, claiming it was a protective amulet which would safeguard her from harm; however, if she ever took it off (a feat easier said than done!), she would be afflicted by a “punishment” of some sort. Not like it matters to her though, since the attention it attracts around school from faculty and students alike isn’t something she’s particularly fond of.

But after a certain incident causes the choker to disappear, she realizes that this punishment her father spoke of might have been a bit more than she bargained for!

The second book is not one I have heard of before, but it does sound really promising. It is called Honey Blood.

Anyone else excited for any of the new upcoming releases from Shojo Beat?
