Synopsis:

This is a plus length novel--over 153,000 words long.
Commander Stavros Rii of the Kindred is a Sin Eater--thick black lines cover his back and neck causing him to feel the pain of others. It is a curse that threatens to shorten his life and makes him unable to bond with a female--not that he's ever found one he wants to bond with. Until he meets Charlie.

Charlie Sayers is an agent with the Earth Protection Bureau-- and anti Kindred agency dedicated to ridding the world of the big aliens. Charlie joined the EPB out of a sense of patriotism but she has her own reasons to hate the Kindred.

But she has bigger problems than the Kindred at the moment--the Enhanced Ones have come to Earth and they're planning to take over the planet, enslave the inhabitants and strip them of all emotion. Charlie can't have that so she agrees to go undercover with Stavros to find the Heart of Love--an artifact which can destroy their mutual enemy forever.

On their dangerous and difficult mission, Charlie learns that going undercover with your worst enemy can rapidly turn him into your best friend...or your lover. Can she hold on to her beliefs and stay true to herself, or will she lose her heart to Stavros? And even if she gives in to desire, will Stav be able to bond her to him?
Or are they Cursed to be apart forever?

My Thoughts

Cursed in love!

Fast paced adventure and steamy romance make this a wonderful new addition to the Brides of Kindred series. Filled with non stop action and a thrilling mystery, you wont want to miss Stavros and Charlie's story. Finally a kindred with long hair and tattoos to drool over!

I was also really excited to see more of the girls lives and Kat especially. I hope to continue to learn more about Shadow and the twins in further books.

Charlie is a take no prisoners kinda gal and teaming up with her sworn enemy is probably one of the toughest jobs she has ever had to do. I really liked this girl and her attitude, although her stubbornness with Stavros can be a bit frustrating. She is a wonderfully kind and loyal woman, but because of her past has made Stavros and those like him her enemy. The goddess works in strange ways, however, and I had a great time watching her fall hopelessly for Stavros.

Stavros is cursed, but unlike most he does no let this stop him from living life. On the contrary this makes him more determined than ever to do what he can while he can. To make the world better for everyone and make the most of his life on earth is his ultimate goal. I really respected his bravery and determination. It takes a brave man to overcome their fear and push, especially with such a crippling ability. He was just as stubborn as Charlie in the romance department, but even he cannot deny the sparks flying between them.

The romance as always was one of the best yet and was nicely paced. I love the buildup between these two and it makes it that much better when they finally come together. I also love how the world building in this series become more and more complex and interesting. There is always something new to discover in the world of the Kindred.

How can love prevail when you life has been Cursed? Read the newest book in the Kindred series to find out!
