Collared and controlled, Shifters are outcast from humanity, forced to live in Shiftertowns. But waiting within are passions that no collar can contain...
Like most Shifters, Liam Morrissey has learned that trusting humans leads to no good. But when beautiful attorney Kim Fraser enters Shiftertown alone in order to prove her client's innocence, Liam's alpha nature leaves him no choice but to offer his protection.
The author creates a wonderfully mysterious and often dangerous world in which Shifters have been revealed to humans and live as outcasts in shiftertowns in order to sustain peace between the races.
This story was a delightful read full of sexy shifters and a bit of a mystery. Kim Fraser must make her way through not only the very different politics of the shifter world, but the prejudices of her own kind to help keep an innocent man from being killed and find love with the most unlikely of people. The intrigue that surrounds her case and much of the shifter world itself makes for a thought provoking and thrilling read.
The relationship between Liam and Kim spices up this book and keeps readers anticipating each turn of the page. This unusual couple definitely has some steamy chemistry together. They differ in many ways, but are alike in others such as their stubbornness. This makes the duo an even more interesting pair to see how they come together to not only solve the case, but make a great new couple.
