Synopsis:

Lily Singer has never belonged. Taken from her tribe as a child and raised in a white man’s school, she no longer has a place in either world. Teaching has become her life. When that life is threatened by rumors and prejudice after a string of robberies, she must turn for help to the one man who spells disaster for her carefully ordered existence. Will he save her or steal her heart?

Christian Avery, Justice of the Peace, is used to having things his way. Cold Springs is his responsibility, and when its citizens blame the local Indian population for the mysterious robberies, it’s up to him to restore order and maintain calm. The one person who refuses to follow his lead is the beautiful, native-born Lily. Her defiance turns his life upside down and ravages his heart.

But when town gossip shifts from robberies to romance after a foolish indiscretion, Lily’s job and reputation are on the line. She must choose between the only life she has ever known and the only place she has ever felt at home, in Christian’s arms.

 My Thoughts

Finding love in all the right places!

This is a very sweet an inspirational romance that is sure to have you swooning. The story focuses on two unlikely friends that learn their is a fine line between love and hate. I also enjoyed the cultural issues dealt with in this book and what the difficulties that a person born Native American, especially a woman, had to deal with in that time. The issues were handled very well and gave the book a lot more depth.

The romance was handled ver nicely and was well paced. There was Jo insta live which was good. Instead it was a gradual understanding between two people who came to care and even love one another heart and soul.

Lily was a dedicated young woman who worked hard to be a good teacher. She didn't always have an easy time of this because of prejudices, but she always did her best. I admired her heart and spirit. She was such a sweet girl with a fiery spirit that showed itself whenever Christian was around.

I loved the interactions between Christian and Lily. They definitely knew how to press each other's buttons. Christian was a stubborn man, but had his sweet and charming side too. He definitely had a soft spot for Lily. They brought out the best in each other and I definitely routed for these two.

My name is Katie and books have and always will be one of my biggest passions in life. There isn't a day that goes by where I'm not seen lost in another world of books. I am a Paranormal Junkie and am not ashamed to admit it. My Favorite Genre is Romance, especially Paranormal Romance, but I read all types of books and am never one to turn down a great story no matter what genre it comes from.
