My Thought

Finding love in a dangerous time.

I was so excited for this book release and after finally getting to read it I was not disappointed. With sexy Scotsmen and exciting time travel who couldn't fall in love with "The Laird's Future Bride" The world of supernaturals in old Scotland is well thought out and very intriguing. I liked the idea of their being a safe place for those with supernatural abilities to come and stay without fear. There is a lot of potential for this series and I can't wait to see where the MacLeod's will end up next. The characters had a lot of personality and really made an impact on me.

Holly is a lovely young woman who was just looking to have a good time until she is unwittingly thrust back hundreds of years into the past and into the arms of her one true love. She doesn't just fall right into his arms though. Instead she fights to find a way back home which I liked. However, the longer she stays with Duncan the more she comes to adore him and eventually love him (even if she doesn't admit it). There were a lot of obstacles for both of them, which was understandable since their world's were so completely different. I loved seeing them get to know each other and learn to compromise and make their marriage work.

Duncan is a strong willed laird that is not used to being questioned, but from the moment he laid eyes on Holly he was hooked. Now he is dealing with a woman who can be just as stubborn as him and he is loving every minute of it. I really enjoyed reading about Duncan and it was easy to see how Holly could fall under his spell. He is intriguing and irresistible even if he can be a stubborn mule sometimes.

The next character I grew to love was Callam. He was the charmer of the family, but unfortunately for him he grew to love Holly who was not meant for him. It really broke my heart, but I hope he finds someone to love just as Holly and Duncan did. Hopefully we can see what happens in the next MacLeod book!

This is an exciting and sexy romance that you will not want to put down. So for all you Scotsmen lover's out there check out "The Laird's Future Bride"!
A special thanks to the author who provided this book to me in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much Hazel Gower you are an amazing author and I love your books!

PictureAbout

I’m a mother of four terrors between the ages of two and seven. In my spare time, the little I have, I write and take off into my own worlds.  As a child, I spent a lot of time in my own dream world. I even had an imaginary friend.  In primary school I would constantly make up stories, which got me into lots of trouble. My Mother said I always had an overactive imagination.
I started writing down my story ideas in high school, and never really stopped.  Writing, I have to say, is my salvation.   After I've gotten all the kids in bed and have cleaned up, I sit at my computer or sometimes a notebook with a pencil and relax, write, and escape.  I decided to finally submit my work after a friend said I should stop being a coward and submit something, live the dream. So here I am.
