My Thoughts
No one can steal a heart like a Demon King.
This author really knows how to create worlds. I loved learning more about this new world full of paranormal creatures. There is always something interesting to add to the atmosphere. She does a great job of really painting a beautiful picture of the world for the reader without going overboard on detail. In the first book we got to meet the Elves and now we get to explore the demon realm. These are definitely not your typical demons and Thorne is by far the most irresistible.
Sable is a diehard alpha and it was interesting to see how she took to being mated. She was not one to give in to sentimental emotions or any emotions for that matter, but Thorne really knew how to press her buttons. She was really fun and a smart aleck to boot. She was the perfect fit to keep the strong and just as stubborn demon king on his toes.
Thorne was an alpha hero and didn't back down from any fight least of all the fight for his mate. I loved the interactions between these two. There was definitely some steamy and hilarious encounters between Thorne and Sable. I also loved how sweet he was. He really adored Sable and tried his best to please her. I also loved that he respected her enough to not pull the alpha thing and make her stay back away from the fighting. Instead they fought together as they should.
